Most clients describe it as a quick snap, like a rubber band against the skin. Many of our clients, including those with a low pain tolerance, are surprised at how comfortable it is. Underarms take seconds, the Brazilian is done in sections, and it usually gets easier each session as hair thins out.
Hair grows in cycles, and the laser can only target hairs in the active growth phase. At any given time, only part of your hair is in that phase. Spacing out 6 sessions lets Tammy catch each hair at the right time for the best long lasting reduction. Treating too often, or with the wrong settings, is one of the top reasons laser fails elsewhere.
Typically every 4 to 6 weeks for the Brazilian and underarms. Tammy times your sessions to your hair growth cycle and sets your schedule at your first visit.
We use Candela Laser Technology, and every treatment plan is customized to your skin type. Laser works best on hair that is darker than the surrounding skin. Very light blonde, red, gray, or white hair usually doesn’t respond well. Not sure? Call us at (949) 446-9924 before you book.
Shave the area 24 hours before your appointment. Avoid waxing, plucking, or threading for at least 4 weeks prior, since laser needs the root in place. Skip tanning, spray tans, and self tanner for 2 weeks before. Arrive with clean skin and no lotions or deodorant on the treated areas.
Absolutely. Treatments happen in a private room, and Tammy keeps you covered and comfortable the entire time. Clients often tell us they arrived nervous and left relaxed.
